See who visits, and which links sent them.
Your visitors’ data stays in your own database. Nothing is sent anywhere.
Every report you’re used to, and then some.
If you’ve used Jetpack Stats, you already know your way round. Click any row to see every report for just that post, referrer, country or campaign.
Built to stay out of the way.
Small, fast and private, so you can just install it and forget it.
Right in your dashboard
A 48-hour sparkline in the toolbar, a Dashboard widget and a Views column in your posts list. Insights shows your best day ever and busiest hour.
Light on your site
One tiny script with no external requests, and it still counts visits to cached pages. Bots that don’t run JavaScript aren’t counted.
You aren’t counted
Admins, editors and authors are left out while signed in, so your own visits don’t inflate the numbers. You choose the roles.
Every channel, sorted
Search engines, social networks, email, paid ads, other websites and AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity, each in its own row.
Campaign reports Pro
Every campaign with its source and medium, visits, pages per visit, time on site, and the clicks and downloads that followed.
CSV export Pro
Download any report as a spreadsheet for your accounts, your client or your marketing review.
Stop guessing which link worked.
Tag the links in your newsletters, ads and social posts. Really Simple Stats remembers the tags for the whole visit, so every page, click and download is credited to the campaign that brought the visitor in.
- utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term and utm_content, all recorded.
- Google and Microsoft ad clicks are recognised even without tags.
- Pro’s link builder suggests the sources and mediums you’ve used before, so your names stay consistent.
- Recorded in the free version too: upgrade later and your past campaigns are already there.
- Arrives from the October newsletter
- Reads the offer page, then your pricing page
- Downloads your brochure PDF
- Clicks “Book a call”, credited to october-update
Private by design.
Count your visitors without collecting anything about them.
Free to use. Pro when you’re ready.
The free version is complete stats, not a trial. Pro turns your UTM data into answers.

Questions
Can I run it alongside Jetpack Stats?
Yes, they don’t get in each other’s way. The numbers won’t match exactly because every tool spots bots a little differently, so run both for a few weeks if you want to compare.
Can it bring in my old Jetpack stats?
No. Jetpack keeps your history on WordPress.com, not on your site. Really Simple Stats starts counting the moment you activate it.
Do I need a cookie banner for it?
It sets no cookies and stores nothing that identifies anyone, so most sites don’t. Check what applies to your business.
Does it work with caching plugins?
Yes. A small script does the counting, so visits to cached pages are counted too.
Will it slow my site down?
The tracking script is a few kilobytes, loads after your page, and talks only to your own site.
What do I need?
WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer.
