1. Introduction
This Refund Policy applies to the software products sold on this Website, currently Spam Defender and Really Simple Newsletters. It supplements the Terms of Use.
Purchases are processed by Freemius, which acts as the reseller and Merchant of Record. Freemius takes payment and handles VAT.
2. All sales are final
My software products are digital goods. A licence key is issued to you as soon as your purchase is complete, giving you immediate access to the software.
Once your licence has been issued, the sale is final and no refunds are given. This includes, for example:
- Changing your mind after purchase
- Features the software does not have, or that you expected it to have
- Conflicts with third-party plugins, themes, hosting or services
- Discovering an alternative product
- No longer needing the software
Please read the product page, check the requirements and ask any questions before you buy. I am happy to answer them at hello@andrewhill.org.uk.
3. Support if something goes wrong
If the software does not work as described, please contact me at hello@andrewhill.org.uk with the email address you used to buy and a description of the problem. I will work with you to fix it.
4. Purchases through other marketplaces
If you bought a licence through a third-party marketplace, such as a deal site, that marketplaceās own refund policy applies, and any refund request must be made to that marketplace.
5. Chargebacks and payment disputes
Please contact me before opening a dispute with your bank, card provider or PayPal. Most problems can be resolved quickly by email. Disputes that are opened are handled by Freemius as the Merchant of Record.
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement and, in some cases, a price reduction or refund.
If you buy in the course of a business, consumer rights may not apply to your purchase.
7. Changes to this policy
I may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The version in force on the date of your purchase applies to that purchase. The latest version will always be published on this page with an updated revision date.
8. Governing law
This policy is governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory legal protections that apply to you, in line with the Terms of Use.
