How it works

Three steps. No learning curve.

If you’ve ever swiped through a dating app or a photo gallery, you already know how to use SwipeSort.

Open a folder

Pick Downloads, Desktop, Pictures or any folder on your PC. SwipeSort looks inside its subfolders too, and skips system and hidden folders for you.

Swipe through it

Each file comes up as a card with a large preview, its size and its date.

→ RIGHT Keep it ← LEFT Delete it ↑ UP Decide later

See what you cleared

Review anything you skipped, then get a summary of what you kept and deleted. Deleted files are in the Windows Recycle Bin if you change your mind.

  • Undo your last keep or skip with one click.
  • Windows stays untouched. System and program folders never show up.
  • Your files stay yours. SwipeSort never uploads or shares anything.

Questions

Good to know.

Where do deleted files go?

To the normal Windows Recycle Bin, exactly as if you’d deleted them in File Explorer. You can restore them from there until you empty it.

Does SwipeSort upload my files anywhere?

No. Everything happens on your PC. There’s no account, no analytics and no cloud. The only thing that ever touches the internet is the optional demo mode, which loads a few sample photos.

What kinds of files can it preview?

Photos (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP and more), videos, audio, PDFs and text or code files show a full preview. Other files still appear as a card with their name, size and date, so you can decide on them too.

Can it break Windows?

SwipeSort skips system, program and hidden folders, so the files Windows needs never come up. It only shows the files inside the folder you choose.

What happens when the trial ends?

SwipeSort will ask you to buy it from the Microsoft Store before you can carry on sorting. Your files aren’t touched either way, and anything in the Recycle Bin stays there.

Is there a Mac or Android version?

Not yet. SwipeSort is Windows only for now. Email me if you’d like to hear when that changes.
