I’m driven by one clear purpose: to improve outcomes for my community. People living, working in and visiting Braunstone Town deserve to feel safe, supported and encouraged to thrive. My approach is pragmatic and focused on delivering real, positive impact through practical action, genuine engagement and a firm belief that local government should be shaped by stakeholders including residents, employees, visitors and local businesses. I want you to have your say.

With a background rooted in community-led work, I’ve supported residents facing homelessness, created opportunities for children across the country through sports and enrichment programmes and delivered large-scale Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) support for families. I’ve worked closely with local authorities and partner organisations to make sure help reaches the people who need it most.

For several years, I’ve also managed a mobile foodbank, partnering with organisations such as Neighbourly and working with supermarkets including Aldi, Sainsbury’s and Marks & Spencer, who donated surplus food. This allowed us to provide regular food support to youth hostels across the city including Leicester YMCA, where I was fortunate enough to receive support myself during my own period of homelessness.

I believe in hearing and understanding the challenges directly faced by residents, parents, young people, community groups and businesses and other local stakeholders. Real solutions come from real conversations, not assumptions and vanity projects. Whether it’s safety, youth engagement, social care or improving local spaces, my focus is always on practical, measurable outcomes.

I’m especially committed to creating better opportunities for young people. When they are included in shaping the future of the area they live in, the whole community becomes stronger, safer and more connected. My work brings together schools, youth services, local groups and the police to build positive pathways for the next generation. I want to rebuild the youth culture within Braunstone Town, improving social enrichment and physical activity opportunities and helping them to get involved in local politics in order to shape the area they’ll grow up in. I want to make Braunstone Town somewhere we will always be proud to call home!

As Councillor for Ravenhurst Ward, my role is to stand by you to amplify your concerns and work collaboratively to resolve the issues affecting your day to day life. I’m here to make it easier for local people to be heard, supported and empowered.
